Hey guys
Yen plummeted !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any ideas on what a 1ds will be costing
in a few months?

It really hasn't changed. I've been monitoring it like a hawk so that I can move some of my U.S. salary to Japanese yen. I'm tired of eating ramen noodles! :-)

In any case, Canon usually prices things so that the domestic (Japanese) price is about 10-20% higher than the U.S. price. This helps buffer themselves against yen/dollar changes. So unless the yen goes to 140 yen/dollar, I don't think we'll see a major price change announced -- especially right before a hotly contested election.
