Yup, that's just what it means!  I was out shooting birds yesterday, and at
one point, had pretty much fallen asleep at the switch (or shutter button)
when one of the herons I was tracking finally decided to take off and fly.
I hit the shutter button and there was only the slightest of hesitations, I
wouldn't even call it a "lag," and the camera was firing away!  I think it's
even less than .2 sec, honestly.
