Well, if that's a "problem", then let's have some more. Glad to hear someone else also has good results from .jpg. I've had the 1D Mk II now for almost 3 months with 6,500 shots so far, and I've only shot less than 10 RAW files, from the jpg files I've enlarged many to 8x10, a couple to 11x17, 1 to 16x24, and 2 to 20x30, all of these are from .jpg source file that is touched up a bit (curve, sharpening) in Photoshop and re-saved at maximum .jpg quality as my lab typically only accepts .jpg files, and they print everything on Fuji professional photo paper, even the 20x30, and the quality of the enlargement is simply astonding, evn the Canon staff were impressed when I showed them the 20x30. >From what I can see when zoomed in, the 3,500 x 2,400 resolution image scanned from film when I was using 200 ISO film before has much more "noise" and apparence of (perhaps) film grain than the 3,500 x 2,400 resolution L .jpg files directly from the 1D Mk II at 200 ISO and 8 (out of 10) .jpg quality setting in the camera. When I shot the same image in RAW + L. jpg then put them up side by side in Photoshop and zoom in tight, yes I can see some jpg artifact, but it is at such a low level that for me, it is a very acceptable trade-off for what I need the image quality to be and the amount of shots I have to take to get everything covered at an event, I just don't want to buy more than the 2 GB CF cards that I have now. I also prefer using a zoom lens than prime because it affords me the versatility to get the image I would otherwise not be able to, I guess I fall into the group that prefers getting the image rather than hunting for that last bit of absolute / extreme / outright quality.
