Yes, that was my first thought too....format-barriers are crushed
while we watch....:))
Wonder how long it will take to see the first 'half-size-chip' lens
for medium-format....:))
(btw, does anyone know whether 36x48mm being exactly twice the
24x36mm 'full-size' chips with 35mm cameras is a coincidence?)
(or: is large format typically 72x48, or 96x72mm)

Sorry, didn't ask, I was only interested in their removable anti-
alias (annex IR-block) filter....;))
(to be replaced by IR-pass....:))

(the bastards refused to take their only sample from the display-
shelf, to show me how the filter attaches....;((

Btw, the difference between 1D and 1Ds in the same context
(aftermarket removal of AA- & IR-block filter, replace with IR-pass)
is apparently that the 1Ds uses CMOS< While the 1D still uses CCD
(with the added (surprisingly honest) note that the 1Ds was still a
bit softer than the 1D)
Can anyone confirm this, or is this common knowledge in the sensor-
industry anyway?
