I thought that camera had a filter to prevent IR. No? That shot is quite different than what I came to expect from other IR capable cameras like the Sony f717. Here is an IR shot from the f717

I didn't take it, but it is what I think of when somebody says IR photography. Can you tell me how this all fits together with IR filters in the camera and how some cameras "can" and "can't" do IR? I've never done any IR photography but it does look interesting. Just thought the Canon line couldn't do IR well for some reason.
