I think I am kind of close into buying a 20D and give up one of my 1ns. Besides the camera itself I am also looking into software apps. There are lots of programs to achieve all your digital images. Some/many of them allow adding key words for which you can search later on. Unfortunately, most of these programs store this information in a database which leads to all sorts of problems. Therefore, I was wondering if there are any apps that embed these keywords into the raw/jpg files themselves. Also are there any apps that allow you to archive raw images and also preview them from that same app?
The new version of the photo package from Microsoft (the name escapes me) will store the keywords in the EXIF part of the image to address the problem you're talking about.
I don't know if it's any good as an archive program as I've never used it.
