You can see the bracket I use here http://www.pbase.com/santa/temp . This is a custom bracket. In those photos, I am using the Canon cord http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=12972&is=REG

which is called the Canon Off Camera Shoe Cord if you want to look various places. About $50. Another very useful thing to use is the STE2 wireless. It will allow you to take both flashes off the camera bracket and put them on stands with umbrellas if you can keep the flash sensor pointed at the camera and within about 15 feet.
The Canon Cord doesn't work with the 630 or RT models. I don't know what other limitations it might have but your Canon camera's manual should have a list of accessories that might include that cord. The cord attaches to the camera like you flash would and the bracket, just like your flash would, then the flash is put on the Bracket/cord. It provides full ETTL, just as the STE2 does.

I want to mount my 550 EX flash on a bracket that will allow me to rotate the flash to keep it above the camera when the camera is in the vertical position. I'm just not sure what connecting cord / adaptor I need. Is there ONE Canon part number item that will allow this to be done, or do I have to buy adaptors and a cord separate? The Canon site is not very helpful on this. B & H has several items listed, but again, I am not sure just what I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
