This may or may not be the right place to post this issue, but I'll give
it a try. perhaps email me off list if you can help?

I use a Mac, OS 10.3.5 - after I download jpegs from a CF card that has
been used in a D60 or 1DmII, if I first have a look at them in Canon's
ImageBrowser 3.0.4 software, then each pic pops up in turn in the window,
like they should. If I open a Finder window and look at the folder with
the pics in, the icons appear as actual images as shot, and obviously
this is neat as I can have a visual reference when moving them about,
quickly looking through, etc.

If I open Digital Photo Professional (inc the latest version 1.5) and
view some freshly downloaded jpegs, and then look at the same jpegs in a
Finder window, they appear as generic 'jpeg' icons.

What is it that ImageBrowser does to the jpegs that lets the Mac windows
see them as actual pictures, while DPP does not?

Is there anything I can do in DPP to get the jpegs icons to show up as
pics rather than jpeg icons?

Anyone follow this?

TIA

Cheers,
  Cotty
