That's exactly right! Although I can't say that they actually make printers
"cheaply" I'd ask if anyone owns a color laser printer? Buy new toner for it
twice, maybe three times, and your printer has just doubled in cost. Same
with solid wax printers. It's insane what they charge for consumables,
especially since the only reason they do charge that much is because they
can ...

People see a good device and a low price and buy it completely unaware
of the cost of supplies. They might not buy the device if it was priced
properly with a lower supplies cost.
