Schlake, Why not try the 'studio techniques with speedlites' from the Umbrellas and Softboxes thread to to achieve your narrow DoF effect?? The speedlite on ETTL mode will match any f/stop you'd be using without needing a ND filter on your lens.
[[Next time I've to list the advantages of a speedlite I'll certainly include that one! :-) ]] BTW, to answer to your question, on the 50f/1.8 you can stack 2 filters without problem on a FF body.
