I found this on Google (news archive):

1. On the left of the camera there is a button with EXP.COMP written
next 
to it.  Press this and the window on the right will display any exposure

comp. you are using (in all modes incidentally).  To adjust you turn the

wheel by the shutter button.

2.The long window area with "s" in it indicates single shot mode.  Flip 
down the little door at the bottom of the camera, the middle
(blue)button 
controls this (single, continuous, self-timer)

3. The "m" button is pressed during manual mode to adjust aperture via
the 
wheel near the shutter button.

4."A" means on but adjustable, ((.)) means beeping upon confirmation.

5.In order...rewind,Auto Focus mode, Drive mode, batt check.
