Hi,

It says on the homepage that he used a 16mm fish-eye lens, and a total
of 14 images. Ideally, without parallax errors, 5 images should be enough:

1: Looking straight out, 0 degrees.
2: Looking back at the photographer, 120 degrees
3: Looking back at the photographer, 240 degrees
+ up & down images.

With the images looking back, he should have enough overlap to eliminate
the arm/bar or whatever the pano head is mounted on.

It's a really cool shot, though..
