Denise,

Here's what I think you have:
1. Digital Rebel
2. Compact Flash card from Digital Rebel
3. Portable USB hard disk
4. Card Reader.

I'll break down No. 3 into:
3a. Harddisk (probably a laptop 2.5" internal harddisk)
3b. External USB enclosure for a harddisk.

The main thing you need would be something like an image-tank. These have
built in card readers and batteries and when you plug in your camera memory
card into them, they'll suck the images to the hard disk. So you don't need
the card reader (item 4).

Good thing is, they come both with and without harddrives, so you can buy one
without. Take your existing hard disk out of its USB enclosure and put it
inside the image-tank/X-Drive.

So what you need eventually is:
1. Digital Rebel
2. Compact Flash card from Digital Rebel
3a. Harddisk (probably a laptop 2.5" internal harddisk)
5. Image-Tank/X-Drive without hard disk.

Hope this helps,
Shashvat
