I've been using this lens on my 20D for a few weeks and find it very useful.
There are some pecularities, though.
1. Low contrast at 300 mm, part of this is caused by intervening layers of
haze, dust etc., I'm sure. This can be easily corrected in RAW conversion,
so I have no example of it.
2. This lens does have a funky bokeh, as mentioned in many internet reviews
and forums. Sometimes it is an advantage, sometimes not. It is partly
visible in http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/515678/display/2538739
and http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/515678/display/2549054
3. The rough quality of the zoom ring makes it abundantly clear that this is
no "L" lens. You can live with it, but it feels like shit
4. Hard to focus manually when the 20D's AF has thrown in the towel for lack
of light. For these dark conditions, a maximum aperture of 4.5 - 5.6 isn't
really fast enough.

HTH!
