This one also mentioned 'noise reduction'....of course, I immediately
thought of the famous 'delay film-transport/mirror-flip-up until
finger is lifted from release button....;))

(but the chance of ever developing my stack of Kodachrome 64/120
seems to be getting smaller by the day....:((((

Subject: New Canon camera for IR and Astro

Mr. Markerink,

In case you haven't noticed/been told, this Canon EOS 20da dslr has
been
announced. It's supposed to be shown at the PMA Show in Orlando, FL,

USA later in the week. I would post the details to the IR list BUT
the
detail page is only in Japanese. It might also be in English, but so

far I've only found Japanese.

Last time we exchanged e-mails, MACO was thinking about making some
additional films in place of some Kodak and Ilford were
dropping/discontinuing. Anything ever announced? It might be too
much
to hope they would be available in the US. It's almost impossible to

get the MACO IR 820 at present from any place at present.

It's rumored that Kodak SA has closed the Lausanne K-14 processing
lab.
I have an e-mail in to them at the moment. I may have to call and
find
out what is really happening. The Kodak URL for K-14 processors
dropped
them last week. If so, that only leaves the processor in Japan and
the
one in Kansas USA. I guess I'm lucky as it only takes 9-10 days if I

drop the film off at the local Wal-Mart. Cost is only US$4.88 plus
tax
- that is something like 4 Euros.
