Not specifically an EOS issue, but relevant to anyone who owns a digital EOS as well as a selection of other battery powered appliances.
Does anyone know of a *compact* solution for generating 230V to run the manufacturer's supplier battery chargers off a 12V car battery? I realize that most manufacturers will sell you a suitable car charger for their batteries, however once you add up all the different digital cameras, video cameras, laptops, mobile phones, etc. etc. that the average family owns, it seems that a much more cost effective solution would be to buy a single inverter. The problem is that I can't find anything smaller than 150W. Although this would do the job, it is rather more massive than I want. My ideal solution would be something capable of generating about 20 - 25W and small enough to fit on the palm of a hand. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?
