I don't think that the 1.3 sensor size will hold. If you take in 
consideration that Canon is developing more EF-S lenses (the 60mm macro 
was a true surprise)
I think the logical evolution for the next gen is to take out  the 1.3x 
cropping sensor and have only a FF "top" 1Dxxxx  and 1.6 sensors for the 
rest of the line.

But of course, only Canon knows and only time will tell... :-) ;-)
