I'm afraid I overlooked the fact that the 300EZ doesn't have a switch to
force it to manual mode. :-(

http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/index.html#disableettl give a
description on how to force an E-TTL flash to TTL. Probably this works
for A-TTL as well.
