Remember the Mamiya medium-format digicam & digiback I wrote about
some time ago, announced on the PhotoKina?
(where I hassled the crew for days, until I got through to the
Japanese chief engineer....:))
Recent media reports mention 7500 euro....indeed frightingly close to
an 1Ds-II....:))
And that's with a 36x48mm sensor....;))
(though still no full-frame within the intended lens-range)
And perhaps most important: its UV+IR-block filter can be removed.
(but whether this engineer understood my wish for an IR-pass
filter....hmm....an asian 'yesyes' is often far from
conclusive....;))
Anyway, competition from above, not bad....;))
PS: Agfa Germany (split off from Agfa-Gevaert some time ago) is in
big troubles....and Bronica announced the end of both their 6x7 and
6x6 SLR's....currently selling only remaining stock....
