No, you are not the only one; we are at least two and I hope we 
are many more...

        My cars, my chairs, my cameras,... become members of my family.

        I even care about other families' members: I like buying used 
goods just for the sake of extending their (useful) lives.

        At the university, I only bought new books when I were not able to 
buy them used; currenly, I often buy at eBay. I never sold a single book, 
or anything at eBay.

        When I was about 14, I sold my complete comics collections at "El 
Rastro", the Madrid flea market, at "cinco un duro" (five comics for five 
pesetas). I sold of of them in a morning and never ceased to deeply regret 
that sale.
