The code for converting canon RAW files to jpg or TIFF is available as reverse
engineered open source.

Everytime I write CRW files to a CD, I put a copy of the C source code in a
seperate directory on the same CD, in addition to JPGs of the RAW images.

20 years from now, assuming I've taken care of my data, I should be able to
compile that code and convert my RAW images to JPG or TIFF.
Or figure out how to write them to another format.

If C/C++ programming isn't your thing (it isn't mine), don't worry, there will
still be people who would be able to help you if you can give them the source
code.

Cheers,
Shashvat
