Thanks Tom.

When I had a D60, I got a Sigma EX 14mm 2.8 which gave me a good wide
angle but stone the crows, it flares like a Chinook carrying the Roly Poly's.

When I sold the D60 and finally achieved a dream 1Dm2, the Sigma was
still very useful as i do love an ultrawide - who doesn't?

About that time I was converting some much loved classic Pentax manual
focus lenses (SMC 50mm 1.2, SMC-A* 85mm 1.4, SMC-K15mm 3.5) to EOS mount.
The Pentax 15mm 3.5 is a stellar performer and beats the Sigma hands down
on flare...

I used the Sigma less and less, and eventually it found a new home. I now
use the Pentax for considered landscapes and on-the-fly shooting-from-
the-hip street pix. The idea was that it would be a useful stop-gap
measure until funds would allow an EF14mm 2.8.

Now I am not so sure I want to spring the wedge for the Canon.....

(NB - I have the 24-70 2.8 and the 20 2.8 also)

Regards,

Cheers,
  Cotty
