I don't have my EOS 3 anymore, but I once lost these covers, too. The owner of the local camera store (Ramsey at Competitive Camera in Dallas) suggested the Nikon caps were half the price of the Canon ones (I think I paid $2.50 for a pair of the Nikon ones). They stick up a tiny bit more, but worked fine. And I never lost them again.
