Does anyone know if the 8 GB card will work in the original 1Ds, (not
the Mk.II)? I seem to recall there is some limit the camera can
support, and it seems it was 2 GB. Maybe I am wrong, and you can use
any capacity card in any camera.
IIRC the 1Ds supports FAT16 and FAT32 which means it is possible to use
cards larger than 8GB.
Double check on this!
FAT16 is limited to 2GB - a 16 bit cluster count, and a maximum cluster
size of 32K, which means 32K*64K = 2GB. Some versions of NT allowed FAT16
partitions up to 4GB, but it isnt that common - I wouldn't expect it to
work on a flash card, but I may be wrong.

This suggests that FAT32 is supported, so you should be ok.
