Just to add to this discussion -
I use DownloaderPro from Chris Breeze, and it's almost totally configurable
with regard to how your folders are named etc.  The latest version
automatically distinguishes between my 3 digicams.
If necessary, it can detect the owner string, and use this to generate a
distinct folder for different copies of the same body - assuming that the
bodies are named by you in a distinct fashion.  e.g. MS_1; MS_2 etc. via the
"Owner" string facility.  This is accessible and editable using the Canon
software, with the camera tethered to your computer via USB.  Unfortunately,
the "Owner" string is set back to "default" each time firmware is uploaded.
