Forgot to mention that Cancount apparently does not work with all Canon
digital cameras. Here are the statements from the website:
EOS1DInf - das Tool für Canon's 1D-Modelle: EOS 1D, EOS 1D MarkII, EOS
1Ds und EOS 1Ds MarkII.
EOS1DInf funktioniert nicht mit Dateien der Canon EOS D30, D60, 10D,
300D, 20D, 350D und 5D !
Those statements are from the website. I assume "yes" to the models in
the first line, and "no" to the models in the second line.

I use the software called "cancount". It cost me about $10 US and can
be purchased using PayPal via the deleloper's website.

You just drag and drop a camera RAW or native jpg file onto a window
opened by the software and it gives you a bunch of info about the
camera/image, including the actual image number (not the reset image
number).
