Amazing - thanks for sharing.
I bought a 20D a few months and haven't gone beyond 400 ISO. After
seeing your results at 1600, maybe I'll start turning up the ISO
rather than risk getting blurred shots.
Did you do any additional processing to reduce sensor noise?
Thanks

G'Mornin' Rob!
Thank you, for your kind comment. You're most welcome! :-)
As for ISO 1600 - it's been invaluable for use with the f6.8 Telyt and
2x converter. Makes for an f13.6 combo, wide open ... though I often
stop it down to f16 for a bit more DOF.
As for post processing... I use Canon's EOS-Viewer that came with the
camera to make the conversions and then adjust levels as necessary in
Photoshop. I use the Focus Magic for any sharpening... nothing for
'noise'. I'm afraid I'm a basic "push the button and go" kind of guy.
I find colour saturation and noise are noticeably poorer at ISO 3200,
but have a hard time telling ISO 1600 from ISO 400 in 8x12" (~20x30cm)
photographic prints.
Give it a try... you've got nothing to lose... and I'm sure you'll like it!
Thanks for looking!
Cheers!
