Hi Marnie, Some Dutch bloke called Willem-Jan ;-) He pipes up now and again, usually with something quite interesting to say.... You know I have a 70-200 2.8 L IS and I can't imagine using anything else. Even with the 2X, it's a killer lens. A monster for sure - but the IS is worth every penny. Is there any way you can road test the 70-300? I know within a few seconds if I'm going to like a lens or not, just by gut reaction (and assuming it's up to par with techy spec).
