Leeuwtje, Before you get rid of this lens, you should try it as a macro diopter. Take a telelens (100+) and couple it inversed in front of it. You'll have an aprox magnification of (lenght tele)/(length diopter = 50). So, with a 200mm lens you have about 4x magnification. (it all depends on the own close focusing capabilities of the tele lens. This technique applied to my 100 f/2.8 USM delivers 3X magnification. To couple the lenses, the cheapest way I've found is to buy a Cokin adaptor ring for the diameter of each lens and then to glue the flat sides together. There're dedicated coupling rings, but they're hard to find.
