That is probably the downside of the list staying quiet for a long time....a lot of subscri_bers (not just you) forget that on this list (and EOS) Majordomo has rather strict 'format-filters', to keep out excessively long quotes (and with that, the wrong habit of reverse quoting, which is the cause of the excessive quotes in the first place!), plus HTML/MIME/RTF-formatted messages. Here the complete tutorial on Majordomo filtering & some remedies: http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/genbounce.txt http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/quot_ord.txt http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/quot_url.txt Short: if you include the admin-footer in a quote (which only top- quoters would do in the first place), your message won't get through. Or, a different approach to reverse-quoting: xxxxxxxxxxxx A: Yes. >Q: Are you sure? >>A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>>Q: Why is top posting annoying in email? xxxxxxxxxxxx -- Bye, Willem-Jan Markerink The desire to understand is sometimes far less intelligent than the inability to understand <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [note: 'a-one' & 'en-el'!] * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
