The "problem" with digital is that it becomes insanely easy to shoot many
times more than a film body in much less time, I shot 14,000 frames in a
little over 3 years with the EOS-3, but have already shot over 40,000
frames with the 1D Mk 2 in 1.5 years.

Granted I'm getting much more financial return with the 1D Mk 2 than I ever
did with the EOS-3 so it's not a huge issue for me, in fact it would be a
good excuse to get the next 1D series camera in 4 or 5 years (if and) when
the 1D Mk 2 shutter dies.
