For a long time I've known I needed to get a hard box to put stuff in. Currently most of my lenses and stuff are in three small plastic Rubbermaid tubs, a gigantic Lowepro Commerical AW bag, and a duffle bag big enough to hide one large or two small bodies.
The things I need to carry, roughly, are 4 light heads, 2 small stands, 2 large stands, a large background (2 large stands and a pole), a laptop, an external hard drive, 6 lenses (20mm f/2.8, 100mm f/2.8 macro, 50mm f/1.8, 24-74 f/2.8 L, 200mm f/2.8 L, 100-400 IS L), 2 bodies with battery grips, a tripod, and an unending pile of USB, power, and remote cables. When travelling by bicycle, I throw in two more large rubbermaid tubs and some straps to help contain the above gear. What I would like is some experienced advice on how should attack the problem of upgrading to Pelicans. I don't know of anyplace that I can go to see a Pelican in person, so I'm reduced to looking at pictures and descriptions on websites. My first inclination is to just buy a "1664 Watertight 1660 Hard Case with Black Dolly and Padded Dividers (Black)" (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=257381&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation) and then see what I can fit into it. This might not be the best plan though, and maybe there are good reasons that I might want to start out with a smaller case instead? -- void *(*(*schlake(void *))[])(void *); * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
