As far as EF mount lenses go, I have an Elan 7/EOS 30. For digital
I've had a G2 for 3 or 4 years, which I like a lot, but has obvious
limitations. So I'm looking at my first DSLR. I'm very tempted, as
I've mentioned before, to save and get a used 1D Mk II, but not sure
I can justify the expense. Still on the fence... I guess I'll see
how much I can save between now and when the 30D is released!

No, I don't unfortunately. But I do have the 90-300/4.5-5.6. It is
el-cheapo, but I have found I get better results with it on the 20D
(so far) than I did on my 300V. I'm putting this down to the crop only
using the best part of the lens, either that or a superior AF system.
I have no doubt you will be very pleased with a 30D, what are you
using currently?
