I'll have to run this by my library friends. Ken -------------------------------------------------------------------- This was written up in PC magazine a few months back. Since then I have been burning important DVDs at slower speeds. I can do 16x but I am in no rush so I use 1x. I have not had one failure yet at 1x compared with several when made at 16x. So for me, I will use 1x for now. Also, I use a quality disk. Ironically people complain about Memorex (CMC Magnetics) but they would be surprised to learn that this same brand is also found under other labels including Nashua and others. Also some no brands are made by Maxell. If anyone would like, I have a short article that was sent to me from a friend where they tested 4 brands side by side. I believe it was in Computer Shopper. Fuji came out on top, then Memorex, followed by Verbatim with Maxell last. If anyone wants to read this, it's a short jpeg I can send. Just email me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I will email it to you. Its not a good scan but readable.
