With the rebate now in effect, I am going to order a digital Rebel XT. The question is, should I spring $80 for the Mack 5-year warranty?
On the lists and boards you hear a lot of EOS people with camera problems. But that's obviously a highly statistically biased sample, so I remain uncertain whether the coverage is worth it to me. The only piece of EOS equipment I've had fail is one of my 550EX's, which came back dead-like-doornail after a year and a half in storage (still have two that work--being lazy about sending the doornail back to Canon).
