You're quit right. There's a CD with PDF files. I didn't open them
because I assumed they contained the soft for Mac and PC (one for
each) and I don't need these. I've them from other camera's and this
one doesn't do RAW.
A JPG is just a file I copy to the HD and then open them with DPP or
PS. Thanks for pointing me to it.

joke. Lucky I downloaded yesterday the full manual from the Canon
site.
Unfortunately it has the word COPY over each page. Doesn't look
good when
printed. I paid 438 euro in Holland.
