Ken, is Windows based software an option? If so, take a look at IMatch
(cheap (50 EUR or so) and very powerful and capable). I myself have
more
than 10000 images in it, and works very fast. Others have 50000+
images
in it. Unfortunately (for you) there is only a windows version
available. Check out www.photools.com.
Windoze is not an option.
