If it wasn't for the handicap/possibility of loosing focus with
fast/erratic moving objects, like kids & pets, she would have a
point....just like large-format viewfinder camera's require a
different attitude (and especially today also *gain* a different
attitude from people....:))
OTOH, it does have FTM for ergonomic pre-focus, unlike the
older/first 100mm/f2.8 macro.
*Without* FTM even a *fast*-focus lens would not be as
nice/ergonomic....;))
(it's the main reason why I, many many moons ago, switched from
Minolta AF to EOS....:))
