I concur, Canon Canada fixed this for me (for free) in less then a couple of 
minutes, so I couldn't help but to try finding out how they can fix it so 
quickly, it was as indeed as simple as described above.

This is assuming the loose screws are the only problem rather than anything 
that is worn or busted.
