Hi,
I'm sending some photos I took at a friend's birthday away to her to be
printed. I don't know what kind of place they'll be going to, so what
are the best generic recommendations to prepare an image for printing?
They'll probably be standard size (7"x5"ish).
I was thinking along the lines of:
Maximum resolution
Sharpened with a radius of 2 (200%)
Adobe RGB colourspace
Enhance contrast somewhere between the original (flat), and what I
would use for a web site (quite high contrast).
Any other suggestions? They don't have to be perfect, I'm not optimizing
each photo individually, but would still like to do a good job with the
time available.

Richard
If they're snapshots of a birthday party and don't have to be perfect
why are you specifying so much?
Are the images you have jpg or raw?
If they're jpg send them to anybody that prints digital images. If
they'te raw make them jpg and send them to anybody that prints digital
images.
If they are just snapshots people will most likely look at them and put
them away. If there are any that she wants made "special" you can do
that after she selevts them.
There's my 2 cents......
