These can handle 4x5. They scan B&W quite fast (nearly equal to any current scanner), but for color, they are three pass, and are therefore three times slower...but if speed is not an issue, this scanner will work fine. It's a bit "fiddly", in other words, you need to have some computer savvy. There is a Leafscan Yahoo group if you have further interest. These scanners were the staple of service bureaus for over a decade, and they are superb scanners.
