Subject: EOS Viewer Utility?
In the April 2007 issue of Outdoor Photographer there is an article on
page 88 about how to automatically put your name into your images as you
shot. The article states to set this up in the EOS software "Viewer
Utility". I've seen this program name in other articles also. The
Solutions disk that came with me EOS 5 doesn't have a program called
"Viewer Utility". The articile states not to use the setup in "Digital
Photo Professional". Is this an actual program or is it "ZoomBrowser EX"
or some other program being called by the wrong name?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tom
Hi Tom,
I had the same problem some time ago.
I used the Custom Install and selected "Eos Utility" which is a mere 20MB,
rather than the full install which is around 200MB. PC now recognises
camera - Job done.
(I note from the Canon website that DPP has been updated yet again, and the
latest download is around 45MB - could take quite some time on my dial-up
modem...)
