Subject: EOS RBP511/512 batteries
The time has come for me to replace my batteries for my 10D. Is
there anything I should be aware of with generic batteries from ebay?
or does anyone have a good source for batteries?
I've had really good luck with sterlingtek.com, their batts seem to be
fairly high capacity (2000 mAH) and fit the cameras and chargers well.
Some of the more generic ones I've bought on eBay seem to fit in the
D30, D60 and 10D OK, but get "stuck" in the BG-ED3 (it takes a little
extra push to get them in, and they don't pop out when you pop the
battery release catch... aggravating). They are ever-so-slightly too
thick on the end opposite the contacts. It takes a little careful
moto-tool work to get them to slide in and out easily. Since it's only a
couple bucks difference, I'd prefer to just go with the sterlingtek ones.
