I was at my favourite local camera shop today, and saw the 1D Mk3 in person, what a huge LCD display it has! The store has sold a few dozens of 1D Mk3 by now since its' initial availability, the new owners of recent batches have reported that they have NOT observed the problems being reported, yes they are aware of the reported problem, but it was more important to them to get the camera and get the shots rather than sitting back and wait for resolution, the users included news media as well as wedding photographers. Take it for what it is worth.
