Peter,

Congrats on the 40D. I agree. The 10D is a bit of a slug. I've shot
some nice pictures with the one I had though. But I haven't regretted
upgrading to a 1D II N.

I'm left eye dominant, thus, my nose tends to rub against the rear
control dial. It's normally not a big deal, but if I'm shooting sports
in constant lighting conditions, I'll turn it off. That way I prevent
an accidental change of the aperture and resulting screw-up of the
exposure.

Now, having to go two clicks on the power switch to turn the dial on
would be kinda annoying. I'd prefer it to be on at the first click,
then dial off at the second click. Oh, well... I'm sure I'd get used
to it real fast the way it is.
