The all-black camera exists for a reason. It's to keep the camera from being visible in a reflection from a copy set-up.

I'm with you Mr. Bill. Another reason is to not attract attention like bright shiny things do......

Waaaaay back when Olympus introduced the OM-1 series my dealer told me that I had one of the first all black OM-1md bodies in the US. It was special order and took a while to get. I was in Washington DC when I got it and a couple Japanese students in the class saw it and said they had never seen an all black OM-1! One of them had the chrome version.
