You do realize the irony of this??

The one thing that sets Canon lens apart from the 3rd-party lenses is the
ability of Full Time Manual(FTM) focusing where the user can adjust the
focus manually anytime after the AF has been achieved without doing anything
else, if I remember correctly this is only on the Canon lenses, all other
3rd-party lenses requires one to flick a switch from AF to MF before the
manual focusing can be accomplished, you would then have to flick the switch
back to AF.

Most Canon users considers the FTM as a positive feature.   :-)
