Hi, Alan,

my quick-and-dirty approach would be to overwrite the whole SD card
space with garbage, either using a card reader/the camera attached to
the PC USB port or the camera itself by shooting the card full of
pictures of your living room ceiling or something equally meaningful ;-)

The other way is to use software on the card that allows "wipe" or
"erase" of the card. Just google for "wipe files" or "erase files" and
make your choice, most of the software in question will download for free.
