Hi I am trying to install erlang on RHEL 6.4. I understand I need to install this first before installing Rabbit MQ 3.5.1
Per instructions on http://www.rabbitmq.com/install-rpm.html, I treid to install erlang from EPEL Step1: enable epel on RHEL5. su -c 'rpm -Uvh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm' I ran the above command and now this rpm is installed. Step 2: yum install erlang This step threw the following errors: ... ... --> Processing Dependency: libodbc.so.2()(64bit) for package: erlang-odbc-R14B-04.2.el6.x86_64 ---> Package wxGTK.x86_64 0:2.8.12-1.el6.rf will be installed --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: erlang-odbc-R14B-04.2.el6.x86_64 (epel) Requires: libodbc.so.2()(64bit) Error: Package: erlang-gs-R14B-04.2.el6.x86_64 (epel) Requires: tk You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest Where can I download these packages from ? I installed erlang using the -skip-broken switch but not sure if this will pose a problem later. Please advise. Thanks, tg
