Before starting the installation, I see only this link -
https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=x86_64. I do
not think it will help.

I removed epel-release-6-8.noarch and saw next error:
Could not get metalink
https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=x86_64 error was
14: problem making ssl connection

I replaced https on http in /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo. It helped.
